Don’t need a new sharper or bigger screen and want to save some money? Take the iPhone XR. Its size is between XS and XS Max, with a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina LCD display with 326 pixels per square inch.
Fewer pixels and the lack of an HDR display means the XR won’t look as bright as the XS models. The XR also only has a 12-megapixel camera lens, so it doesn’t offer stabilization or 2X optical zoom like its XS siblings, but it still has Portrait Mode depth control with bokeh shift.
The XR is only water-resistant to one meter instead of two like its more expensive siblings, and it lacks 3D Touch for quick access to deeper features.

In hopes of buying the more expensive one, the XR arrives a month later than the XS, with pre-orders on October 19 and shipping on October 26.
Apple may find that this level of customization allows everyone to find the iPhone that’s right for them, while creating decision paralysis for buyers who aren’t confident enough to pay. The Pro model will have a much better screen, a cutout instead of a notch, a better camera system with an additional lens, and a lot more premium materials for construction. Inside, it will have a more powerful chip and better memory management that enable desired usability improvements, including an always-on display.

Meanwhile, in the other hand you’ll have a phone that offers none of that. You’ll be holding, in a way, two completely different phones – and each will have very different prices.

However, they will now have to spend at least $1,000 to get the A16 Bionic, as the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus come with last year’s A15 Bionic.
